In a shocking turn of events, Holden Nobody has defeated Alexei Volkov in an impromptu bout to become The Resistance World Champion.
Nobody had been booked earlier in the night for an exhibition match against Hank Henry, which Nobody won with his signature Package Piledriver. While this was too be Nobody's only match for the night, Dustin "The Hammer" Hayes, challenger for the Resistance World Championship and currently undefeated, had pulled his shoulder while warming up for the match. At the last minute, Nobody volunteered for a chance to face the champion.
While Volkov dominated the majority of the match, Nobody was able to catch the champion with a sudden Yakuza kick that rocked the champion, allowing Nobody to secure a School Boy rollup for the victory.
Holden Nobody has been making his presence known on SHOOT Project TV, most recently accepting an open challenge from Arthur Pleasant in a losing effort. He also suffered some injuries at the hands of a returning Sammy Rochester. While unbooked for Zenith 005, Nobody made it clear that he would be "...making my presence known at Zenith 005, and now with some unexpected jewelry around my waist."
A representative for Alexei Volkov stated that the victory was a fluke.
"Holden Nobody is a lucky peasant. Gospodin Volkov will be taking his title back shortly."
